Wilma Ann Miller

July 22, 1931 — March 15, 2018

Wilma Ann Miller, 86, of Plano, IL passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 22, 1931 in Porter, MN, the daughter of William and Anna Marie (Goslar) Kindelberger. She married Russell Miller on December 4, 1992 in Yorkville, IL and they 25 years of tender marriage, adding a baby Snuggles to their family in 2008.

She was a self-pronounced tough old German lady and she battled the hardest thing a woman with her spirit and compassion could – losing her precious memories full of fun and loving moments with her family and close friends that she considered family. She no longer suffers that loss and she will look over us and pride herself in seeing us celebrate and remember fondly the very special hostess that brought us all together to join in making every time special. She loved gatherings – cooking (she could make moth balls taste good), playing cards and dominos, sitting around singing and listening to music and occasionally dancing around barefoot, telling stories, and playfully teasing whoever was fortunate enough or unfortunate enough to try to match her wit. “Shut up Russell.” Family and friends are invited to the home immediately after the proceedings to enjoy snacks and sandwiches along with her cheese ball, homemade noodles, cinnamon applesauce and millionaire’s cake recipes that she passed on to her grandkids. Some will crave the homemade bread and dough dodgers, but no one can do those

She is survived by her husband, Russell of Plano, IL; two sons, Jerry Foss of Bonegap, IL and Randy Foss of Marseilles, IL; three stepsons, Jim (Deena) Miller of Braidwood, IL, Bob (Sharen) Miller of Plano, IL, and Tom Miller of Midway, TN; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Lloyd Foss, one son, Dennis, one daughter, Julie, two grandchildren, Dan and Steven, three brothers, Verle, Dale, and Dean, and one sister, Ruby.
