William (Bill) Samuel Smith, 56, of Streator, IL, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at his mother’s home after a brief illness.
Mr. Smith was born March 6th, 1958 in Sandwich, IL to Bill Sam and Olive VerLee Smith.
Bill attended school in Sandwich, IL and worked in the automotive industry. Bill was a drummer in local country bands throughout his life.
Bill enjoyed long rides on his Harley to visit his childhood friend, Doug Chelf and his cousin William Reed Smith in Kentucky. He enjoyed playing country music with his father and mother Bill and Lee Smith.
He is survived by his mother Lee Smith of Streator, IL, sister Gay (Steve) Donovan of Marseilles, IL, daughter Ashlie (Brian) Biles and grandson Hexum of Locust Grove, GA, Nieces Jana (Marcus) Spicer, Carrie (Chad) Cayce, nephews Zachary, Austin, Lucas, Caleb, all of White House, TN, Cayden, and Bradley Reynolds of Ottawa, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father Bill Sam Smith and niece Tara Lynn Garrow.
