William J. Butenas

William J. Butenas, 84, of Waterman, IL passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010 at his home. He was born March 9, 1926 in Toluca, IL, the son of William J. and Mary Bernardoni Butenas. He married Yolanda Bernardi on July 19, 1947 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Toluca, IL. Bill was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during WWII. He retired from Caterpillar in Aurora after 35 years of service. He was a member of St.Paul's Catholic Church in Sandwich, the American Legion in Waterman, the Paint Horse and Quarter Horse Associations and was a 4-H Leader for many years. He had a great love for his horses and enjoyed driving his team in parades.

He is survived by his wife, Yolanda of 63 years, his son, Rudy and Adele Butenas of Pelican Rapids, MN, his daughter, Nettie and Kerry Bridge of Litchfield, MN, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Jason Butenas and two brothers, Edward Butenas and Robert Butenas.
