William “Bill” Fox, 82, of Plano, Illinois passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at AccentCare in Naperville, IL, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 27, 1942 in Joliet, IL the son of Raymond and Winifred (Fox) Fox. He married Cheryl D. McQuown on August 8, 1971 in Plano, IL. He graduated from Joliet High School in 1960. Bill and his brother Gene ran the family farm after Gene was discharged from the service. He enjoyed gardening, animals, especially cats, birds and chickens. Bill liked being outdoors, doing various activities.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; two sons, Richard (Tiffany) Fox of Yorkville, IL, and Steven (Lisa) Fox of Somonauk, IL; Five grandchildren, Jacob, Leah, Andrew, Lucas, and Ella; One sister, Nancy Fox of Plainfield, IL; one brother, Gene (Judy) Fox of Plano, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son James (Natalie) Fox; one granddaughter Sierra Fox; one sister Judy (Bruce) Turner; two brothers-in-law, Howard Hawes, and Gilbert Fox.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2025 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home 3952 Turner Avenue Plano, IL 60545. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025 in the funeral home in Plano, IL with Rev. David Totsky officiating.
