Wendell Glenn Stahl, 85, of Shabbona, formerly of Sandwich, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb, IL. He was born February 21, 1928 in Sandwich, IL the son of Lowery “Bill” and Mabel (Klotz) Stahl. Wendell was a farmer and a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by one sister, Allene (Russell) Wahlgren of Sandwich, IL; one brother, Everett “Butch” (Etta) Stahl of Sandwich, IL; three nephews, Roy (Christine) Wahlgren of Sandwich, IL, James (Kyle) Wahlgren of Tempe, AZ and Rick (Becky) Stahl of Plainfield, IL and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Norman Stahl and his grandparents.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Oak Mound Cemetery in Somonauk. Memorials may be directed to the Parkinson’s Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
