Wayne R. Van Horn

Wayne R. Van Horn, 69, of Earlville, IL passed away, Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at his home. He was born January 14, 1944 in Mendota, IL the son of James and Leona (Quinn) Van Horn. He married Jeanne Thoms in 1973. Wayne was a lifelong farmer in the Earlville area. He loved water skiing and classic cars.

He is survived by his wife Jeanne of Earlville; two daughters, Melissa (Mark) Tudor of Phoenix, AZ, Lisa (Matt) Avery of Mendota, IL; two sons, Tim Atherton of LaSalle, IL and Charles (Adrienne) Van Horn of Mendota, IL; seven grandchildren, Reiss, Ryann, Trevor, Madelyn, Ryan, Emerson, Mark Blair, two nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Dean Van Horn.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 at Earlville United Presbyterian Church in Earlville, IL with Pastor Del Keilman officiating. Burial of his urn will be private at a later date. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Earlville United Presbyterian Church in Earlville.
