Wayne Ralph Montgomery of Somonauk, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the age of 67. Wayne was born to parents Ralph and Gwendolyn Montgomery in Sandwich, Illinois He grew up as the youngest of three children and attended Somonauk High School. Wayne is a graduate of Iowa State University. He was a Banker with Farm Credit of Florida at the time of his passing residing in Lakeland, Florida. Wayne worked in banking most of his life with the exception of owning and operating Buck Branch Farms in the early 70’s. While working in the agriculture department in Joliet, Illinois he met and married his loving wife Debbie and they married in 1971. The couple had two children. Wayne worked for Farm Credit till the time of his passing.
Wayne is survived by His wife Debbie, Daughter, Lauren Montgomery Ewaldt and husband Larry, Son Brad Montgomery, two Sisters, Jane Adams and Donna Caso (George), Sister-in-Law Jacquie Heindrick (James), Brother-in-Law John Meers and numerous nieces and nephews. And many 4 legged family members Heidi, Ol’Joe and Brother.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Gwendolyn Montgomery.
Visitation followed by a Memorial Service will be held at Lakeland Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 2125 S. Bartow Hwy, Lakeland, April 7th from 2 till 3 PM. With Memorial Services starting at 3:00 P.M. Father Ramon Bolatete from St. Joseph Catholic Church Lakeland, Florida will officiate.
