Vivian W. Shults, of Alexandria, VA formally of La Grange, IL. and Hinsdale, IL passed away Friday March 23, 2007 in Alexandria, VA. She was born December 7,1915 in La Grange, IL. She was the daughter of Merton M. and Vivian Walker. Mrs. Shults graduated from Lyons Township High School in La Grange, IL in 1933. In May of 1941, she married Courtney John (Jack) Shults of Sandwich, IL.
Mrs. Shults is survived by daughters Cynthia "Syndee" Shults (Arthur) Link of Fort Myers, FL and Courtney Shults Fortier of Reisterstown, MD; grandchildren, Ryan Arthur (Alice) Link of Warrensburg, MO, Alyson Link (Dave) Rockwell of Chesterfield, MI, and Justin John Fortier of Houston, TX; great grandchildren, Ellery Ann Link, Megan Virginia Link, Sophia Grace Link, and Grant Arthur Rockwell. She has six surviving siblings, Robert A. Walker, Maxine Heinen, Donald Walker, Ilene Dunning, Glen Walker, and Barbara Neader.
Mrs. Shults was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian and her father, Merton M., her husband, Courtney, her daughter, Janice, and her brothers, John, Merton A., Bill, and Kenneth.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home, 606 E. Arnold Rd., Sandwich. In lieu of flowers, memorials for Vivian Shults may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 11240 Waples Mile Road, Suite 402, Fairfax, VA 22030.
