Viola M. Swanson, 91, of Plano IL passed away, Saturday, November 8, 2008 at The Tillers Health Care Residence in Oswego, IL. She was born September 18, 1917 in Plano, IL, the daughter of Ragnar and Hildur Johansson Swanson. She attended Plano Grade School and graduated with the Class of 1935 from Sandwich Township High School. She was baptized, confirmed, and was a lifetime member of Salem Lutheran Church in Sandwich. She started working for the then, Circuit Clerk, Theordore K. House in 1946, later becoming a Deputy Clerk and upon Theodore K. Houses's retirement became Circuit Clerk for Kendall County for five terms, retiring in 1980. Since her retirement she kept busy with volunteering and doing counted cross needlework.
She is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Barbara (Richard) Knecht of Warrenville, IL Carol (Ronald) Hill of Plano, IL, James (Linda) Swanson, Kay (Lary) Pfeiffer, Jean (Michael) Clayton, Beth (Steve) Passarelli, Jon (Angie) Cornelissen, and numberous great nieces and nephews and several great great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by parents, one sister and brother in law, Doris and George Cornelissen and one brother and sister in law, Torsten and Genevieve Swanson.
