Vicente V. Beltran

Vicente V. Beltran, 77, of Earlville, IL, formerly of Aurora found peace on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. He was born on December 6, 1945 in Jalisco, Mexico the son of Pablo and Maria (Vera) Beltran. He married Gloria Mieno on August 7, 1980 in Aurora, IL. He frequently shared stories of growing up in Mexico. His father and brother, Rigo, started an ice cream business “La Polar” which became famous, he was very proud of their accomplishments. He made popsicles for his grandsons using their recipe. He was a great cook and made all the best Mexican food. He came to the U.S. in December of 1971 and became a U.S. citizen in March of 2008, which he was extremely proud of. He loved to sing, dance, and joke. He was a true kid at heart. He loved his family deeply and passionately.

He is survived by his children, Anna (Alex) Vazquez of Aurora, IL, Vincent “Tostie” (Schael) Beltran of Earlville, IL, Daniel (Laurie) Parker of New Albany, MS: grandchildren, Danny, Brooke, Laken, Gabby, Louis, and Paul; great-grandchildren, Kingston, Bryson, Lily, Aiden, Zoe, James, Danny, Raylynn; sisters, Silva Esther (Ulises) Casasnovas of Mexico and Maria Guadalupe Vera Beltran of Mexico; long time friend, Miguel “Mikey” Aguilar; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, honorary grandchildren, family dog, Raven, and his puppy, Pancho Villa.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Gloria; grandson, Alejandro Vazquez, Jr; and 18 of his 20 siblings.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023 at St. George Byzantine Catholic Church in Aurora, IL. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at St George Byzantine Catholic Church with Father Fred Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora, IL.
