Verlie B. Robinson, 91, of Somonauk, IL, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at her home. She was born July 3, 1925 in Sandwich, IL, the daughter of Theodore and Ila M. Reynolds Sampson. Verlie worked at Western Electric for 25 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, and crocheting but her greatest love of all was her family.
She is survived by her children, Dale Joanne Robinson of Leland, IL, Gary Doris Robinson of Plano, IL, Sharon Dale Watson of Coal City, IL, and Judy Dennis Foote of Aurora, IL; twelve grandchildren, Stacia Nick Little of Leland, IL, Kristine John Gibbons of Rockton, IL, Aaron Becca Nates of Maple Park, IL, Lori Tom McKinney of Coal City, IL, Keith Ann Watson of Coal City, IL, Julie Watson of Coal City, IL, Tina Leo Munis of Somonauk, IL, James Nancy Doyens of Aurora, IL, Ronda Gudmunson of Montgomery, IL, Brandi Jesse Cochran of Sandwich, IL, Dennis Jeanne Foote of Batavia, IL, and Steven Laura Foote of Aurora, IL; eighteen great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; one brother, Everett Sampson of AR and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Sylvia Doyens, one sister, Lois Rose and two brothers, Orville and Donald Sampson.
Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with Chaplain Christopher E. Ausler officiating. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL at a later date. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the funeral home in Somonauk.
