Vera E. Wold, 97, of Earlville, Illinois passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 in Heritage Health in Mendota. She was born October 5, 1916 in rural Compton, IL the daughter of Oscar and Pauline (Xander) Ikens. She graduated from Earlville High School. She married Edward Wold on December 19, 1936 in Aurora, IL. Vera and Edward farmed in the Earlville area for many years. They started and operated Lik-Wid-Flo Fertalizer in Earlville in 1957.
She is survived by two sons, Allan (Paula) Wold and Richard (Nancy) Wold both of Earlville, IL; seven grandchildren, AJ Wold of Earlville, IL, Amy (Mark) O'Dell of Aurora, IL, James (Liz) Wold of Florida, Mark Wold of Beloit, WI, Andy (Tonia) Wold of Albuquerque, NM, Barry Wold of Earlville, IL, and Kirsten (Pat) Sweeney of Earlville, IL, ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward in 1977, and one brother, Russell Ikens.
