Tonja R. (Krapausky) Gonzalez, 41 of Sandwich, IL passed away, Friday, January 20, 2012 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. She was born December 21, 1970 in Sandwich, IL, the daughter of Nancy Irene (Cunz) Krapausky. She married Rafael Gonzalez on May 14, 2011 in Sandwich, IL.
She enjoyed the time she spent with her beloved husband, her family and infinite number of friends. Known by her “children” as Auntie Tonjie and Ton-Ja. Tonja fulfilled one of her dreams by visiting the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame with her husband. She also enjoyed “Bruuuce!”, the color pink and flamingos. Loved going to concerts, dancing, spending time with her godchildren, adopted kids, and ringing her cow bell to loudly cheer on the Sandwich High School Football team. Her bright smile, loving personality and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Rafael of Sandwich, IL; one brother, Daniel Krapausky of Sandwich and her cat, Jersey.
She is preceded in death by her mother and her grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home with Rev. Carol Gates officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich. Memorials may be directed to the family
