Timothy Phillip Eaton, 51, of Somonauk, IL passed away, Sunday, May 31, 2015 at his home in rural Somonauk surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 12, 1963 in Rockford, IL the son of James and Joan (Ortscheid) Eaton. He married Joni Severson on February 17, 1994 in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, NRA, and Laborers Union Local # 68 which he worked under different unions for over 30 years. Tim loved hunting, riding horses, canoeing, cooking, boating and his greatest love of all was spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Joni of Somonauk, his mother, Joan of Shullsburg, WI, one daughter, Ashley Eaton and one son Kory Eaton both of Somonauk; two sisters, Paula Eaton of Blanchardville, WI and Lynn Eaton of Argyle, WI, three brothers, Daniel Eaton of Shullsburg, WI, Andrew (Melissa) Eaton of Blanchardville, WI and Patrick (Heidi) Eaton of Somonauk, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James, one sister in infancy, his grandparents, James and Pauline Ortscheid and Ben and Bess Eaton.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, June 3rd in the funeral home. Memorial visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Blanchardville American Legion in Blanchardville, WI. Burial of his urn will follow in Graceland Cemetery Blanchardville, WI. Memorials may be directed to Tim’s children for educational purposes.
