December 31, 1964 — February 5, 2024

Timothy George Bigott
In the early morning hours of February 5th, 2024, Timothy George Bigott (59) passed away peacefully in his sleep at home.

Timothy, the fourth of five children, was born on December 31st, 1964, to Gladys Christine (Spevak) Bigott and Richard Thomas Bigott in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in Downers Grove, Illinois where his family moved when he was a baby.

In 1983, Timothy graduated from Downers Grove North High School. On May 12, 1988, Timothy and Donna Lorraine Krensis married and they moved to Westmont, Illinois. They had four children, Nathan (36), Krystal (35), Samantha (29), and Tyler (27).

Timothy was employed at Vaughn Industrial Sales for 13 years, where he became a foreman, welding and building skeletal structures of buildings. He also worked at JC Refinishing, where he gained a love for refinishing furniture, an art he continued as a hobby for many years.

Timothy was a sensitive and loving person, as well as a talented and creative artist. He often combined his talents for writing poetry, drawing, and pyrography by woodburning his poems and sketches onto wooden plaques he prepared, expressing love and appreciation for loved ones. Timothy was also a talented cook. He was always ready to prepare delicious meals for the family, as well as, meals for small and large gatherings of family and friends.

Timothy grew up camping, fishing and traveling as his family camped near his grandparents in Wisconsin, and at Army posts while his father, Richard, was training. He continued camping, fishing and visiting with family and friends for many years. However, Timothy’s favorite past time was spending time with his grandchildren, whom he was so proud of.

Timothy is preceded in death by his father, Richard Thomas Bigott, his mother Gladys Christine (Spevak) Bigott, and his brother Jeffrey Allen Bigott.

He is survived by his four children, Nathan (Lexi) Krensis, Krystal (Brandon) Bruce, Samantha (David) Stefan, and Tyler (Megan) Bigott, and his grandchildren Terra (13), Aiden (9), Skyler (11 months), Larissa (13), Jilliana (13), Teagan (6), Scarlett (5), Emery (2), Kaitlynn (8), and Amelia (3). He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas (Rosa) Bigott, John (Ann) Bigott, and Daniel (Melissa) Bigott, and his sister-in-law Suzanne Bigott, his aunt Elizabeth Danhelka, his close cousins Robyn (Michael) Pyrchalla, Tod Bigott, Barbara (Bill) Johnston, and Steve (Linda) Fortelka, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Mendota, Illinois on Saturday, March 2, 2024. A visitation will begin at 10 am, followed by a service at 11 am and a meal at noon.
