Thomas A. Neuenkirchen, 53, of Sandwich passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich. He was born December 15, 1961 in Aurora, IL, the son of Clarence and Katherine Walker Neuenkirchen. He married Brad Kraus on June 13, 2015 in Somonauk. Tom was a member of United Congregational Church in Somonauk. He enjoyed his music, his birds, tortoises and dogs, Abby and Emma.
He is survived by his husband, Brad of Sandwich, IL; one sister, Mary Ann Gary Flatt of Montgomery, IL; four brothers, Chip Carol Neuenkirchen of Montgomery, IL, Dennis Neuenkirchen of Paris, France; Jeff Sue Neuenkirchen of Montgomery, IL and Tim Neuenkirchen of Montgomery, IL; his mother-in-law, Roberta Kraus of Sandwich, IL; one sister-in-law, Kathy Keith Adkins of Somonauk, IL; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, Don Kraus, one sister-in-law, Melissa Kraus and one niece, Amy Galarza.
Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Union Congregational Church in Somonauk with Rev. Michelle Prentice-Leslie officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be directed to Union Congregational Church.
