Thomas E. Book, 70, of Plano, IL passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL. He was born November 9, 1938 in Aurora, IL, the son of Elmer D. and Marguerite Leola Long Book. He was a 1956 Graduate of Oswego High School. He was a Veteran of the US Army stationed in Germany. He married Adele Kjaer on December 12, 1964 in Bristol, IL. He retired from Walker Process in Aurora after 37 years in 2004. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Adele of Plano; three sons, Richard (Kim) Book of Brimfield, IL, Robert (Dan Acosta) Book Chicago, and Randy Book of Plano; three granddaughters, Ashley (Jacob) Schneider of Peoria, Hannelore "Kiki" Book, and Olivia Book both of Brimfield; one great granddaughter soon to arrive; one brother, Wiliam Book of Plainfield; two brother-in-laws, Harold Kajaer of Bristol and John (Reggie) Kjaer of Somonauk; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Doris Book in infancy and Norma Jean Anderson; and sister-in-law, Bernice Book.
