Thelma K. Carlson, 74, of Somonauk, IL passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL. She was born November 9, 1940 in Leland, IL the daughter of Hiram and Grace Lowtwait Kittleson. She was a member of Union Congregational Church in Somonauk, the Ladies Auxillary at Valley West Hospital and Women of the Moose. Thelma loved playing cards, watching old movies, puzzle books, but the greatest love of all was spending time with her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna Bryan Herzog, and one son Jeff Amy Carlson, both of Somonauk, IL; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two sisters, Bev Todus of Aurora, IL and Shirley Andersen of Sugar Grove, IL; one brother, Gerald “Butch” Chris Kittleson of Leslie, MI, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Carol Cartwright, and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with Rev. Michelle Prentice-Leslie officiating. Burial will follow at Baker Cemetery rural Leland, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 at the funeral home.
