Teresia Koczo, formerly of Plano, IL passed away on December 21, 2011 at the age of 91 following a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was a longtime resident of Plano having moved here with her family in 1959.

Teresia was born in Soroksar, Hungary in 1920, the oldest of eight children and immigrated to the United States with her husband and two children. She was employed at Gray Stamping, Plano Molding and Federal Huber Corp where she retired. Teresia was a member of St Mary’s Parish and was active in the choir.

She was predeceased by her husband, Michael; brother, Frank Kaltenecker (formerly of Plano), brothers Sebastian and Ferdinand Kaltenecker (formerly of Heiningen, Germany).

She is survived by her two sons, Michael Koczo (Carol) of Manassas, VA and Nicolaus Koczo (Christine) of Louisville, KY as well as two granddaughters, Madison and Kasey Koczo. In Germany she is survived by her brothers, Stefan Kaltenecker of Heiningen and Josef Kaltenecker of Sigmaringen. She is also survived by her youngest sibling, Anna Kempl (Sepp) of Heiningen.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2012 for friends and family at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plano followed by a graveside service at Little Rock Township Cemetery.
