Teddy Ray McCoy, 85, of Sandwich, Illinois, passed away on October 1, 2026, at his home with his loving wife by his side.
He was born on December 30, 1940, in Nora, Virginia, to Robert and Marie McCoy. He married Barbara Livingston in Aurora, Illinois on October 7, 1961 and together they shared nearly 65 years of marriage and family life.
Teddy enjoyed golfing, bingo, playing cards with friends and family, cooking comforting foods for his family, gardening, and his love of collecting a variety of antiques. These simple pleasures reflected the kind of life he loved most, one centered on family, friendship, and time spent together. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara McCoy; his sons, Michael McCoy, Doug McCoy and his wife Angela, and Teddy McCoy Jr. and his wife Karen; along with seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. His family was the heart of his life, and he found great joy in being surrounded by them through the years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert McCoy; his mother, Marie McCoy; and his siblings, Richard, Corbet, Jimmy, Ethel, Betty, Lorine, and Roy.
In accordance with Teddy's wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements were entrusted to Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, Illinois. For more information or to sign the online guestbook go to www.EighnerFuneralHomes.com
