Steven Kenneth Corbitt

Steven “Steve” Kenneth Corbitt, 62, of Plano, IL passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 26, 2025. Steve was born on February 15, 1963 in Sandwich, IL. to James and Shirley (Cummings) Corbitt. Steve attended school in Sandwich. Steve worked at KFC/Taco Bell in Yorkville, IL dedicating over 25 years of service. His boss and coworkers described him as a thoughtful man; he was dependable and a great coworker to all. Steve loved all car racing, especially NASCAR, Indy, and Formula One. He always looked forward to attending NASCAR races when he could. He had an unwavering faith in God, marked by love and compassion. He found himself in nature and had an immense love for animals. He was an avid bicycle rider and loved working on bicycles.

Steve is survived by his brother, Todd (Jennifer) Corbitt; aunt, Jane Jacobson; nieces, Bethany Johnson and Chasity Johnson-Davidson; many great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, and several cousins.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother Shirley M. (Cummings) Corbitt, his father James K. Corbitt, and sister Connie L. Corbitt-Johnson.

Cremation rites were entrusted to Turner-Eighner Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Matthew Jones officiating at Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, IL. where he will be laid to rest by his mother and sister.
