Steven C. Botts

Steven C. Botts, 64, of Earlville, IL passed away, Friday, November 24, 2017 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born February 3, 1953 in Mendota, IL the son of Charles E. and Marilyn M.Gast Botts Jr. He attended Earlville Schools and graduated in the class of 1971. Steven was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Four Seasons Appliance and Furniture Store in Mendota, IL. Steven enjoyed helping his father on the family farm. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Earlville, Earlville American Legion, and was a past Commander, Mendota Elks Lodge #1212, the Mendota Moose Lodge. He enjoyed restoring jeeps and cars.

He is survived by his father Charles of Earlville, IL; two sisters, Wanda Carl Planthaber of Camanche, IA and Diane Gary Lampe of LaMoille, IL; several nieces and nephews, and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church 415 South East Street in Earlville, IL, with Rev. Tammy Anderson officiating. Luncheon will follow the service in the church hall. Burial will be follow in Wisner Cemetery Ophir Township, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church until the service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to The Earlville American Legion or Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank everyone at Heritage Health, the Illinois Veteran’s Home in LaSalle, and Kay for their compassionate service to Steven.
