Stanley J. Ciba, 95, of Sandwich, IL passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 at Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Hospital in Maywood, IL. He was born February 4, 1918 in Chicago, IL the son of John and Anna Ciba. He married Helen Lewandowski on October 23, 1943 in Chicago, IL. He was a veteran of U.S. Army serving during WWII. He attended St. Paul Catholic Church in Sandwich.
He is survived by two daughters; Kathy (Jack) Riina of Brookfield, IL and Sharon (Dan) Vogrig of Hoffman Estates, IL; one son, Mike Ginny) Ciba of Tinley Park, IL; 6 grandchildren, Brian (Colleen) Clausen, Heather (Heather Haskin) Clausen, Kim (Adam) Saggese, Mike (Lauren) Ciba, Nicky (Darrin Trina) Riina and Vince (Anehi) Riina, several great grandchildren; One son-in-law Terry Clausen of Marine, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helen in 2000, and one daughter Linda.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery rural Sandwich, IL, with Rev. Andrew C. Hougan officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL.
