Sidney E. White, 83, of Sheridan, IL passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich. He was born June 6, 1928 in Carlock, IL the son of Leslie and Nellie (Grove) White. He married Romona Hinthorn on July 7, 1950 in Carlock, IL. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Koran conflict. Sidney was employed at Catipillar for 42 years retiring in 1994,
He is survived by his wife, Romona; one son, Anthony (Diane) White of Sheridan; two grandsons, Ryan White of Rock Island and Nathan White of Sheridan; three brothers, James (Etta Mae) White of Colorado Springs, CO, Ted (Virginia) White of Goodfield, Roger White of Rantoul.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Richard E. White; one brother, Leslie; three sisters, Betty, Carolyn and Mary.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Elerding Cemetery in Sheridan.
