Shirley Mae Sleezer, 94, of Yorkville passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Hillside Rehabilitation and Care Center in Yorkville. She was born February 24, 1922 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of William and Ella Atwater Staffeldt. She married Floyd E. Sleezer on October 14, 1950 in Aurora, IL.
She is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Richard Garza of Mission, TX and Peggy Sleezer of Aurora, IL; two sons, Edward F. Carol Sleezer of Yorkville, IL and Wayne T. Sleezer of Dwight, IL; three granddaughters, Leslie Justin Constant of Houston, TX, Rachel Greg Slivka of Sheridan, IL and Meredith Sleezer of Plano, IL; six grandsons, Jonathon Helen Lee Lemire of Plainfield, IL, Joshua Lemire of Aurora, IL, Benjamin Tina Zarcone Lemire of Oswego, IL, Joseph Michelle Lemire of Plano, IL, Andrew C. Christine Sansone Sleezer and Dane E. Sleezer both of Millington, IL; seven great grandchildren, Grace, Nichole, Jacob, Colton, Pearl, Riccardo and Van.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd, three sisters, her identical twin, Jean, Elaine and Dorothy, two brothers, William and Donald.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Millbrook United Methodist Church in Millbrook with Pastor Kent Svendsen officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday May 20, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, Illinois. Burial will be private at Little Township Cemetery in Plano, IL.
