Sherry S. Wooton

Sherry S. Wooton, 76, of Yorkville, IL passed away, Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at her home. She was born November 21, 1947 in Washington D.C., the daughter of Ed and Helen (Hanchew) Eddingfield.

She married her high school sweetheart, Michael “Mic” Wooton and they were married for 55 years.

She owned the Mona Lisa Beauty Salon in Montgomery, IL, for over 40 years. Sherry loved being at work and spending time with her clients, who were like family to her. She was a very kind, caring, giving, independent and strong woman. She enjoyed bowling and was involved in many leagues throughout the years.

Sherry is survived by her son, Michael (Linda) Wooton of Romeoville, IL; a niece, Lisa Carter of Yorkville, IL; 2 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers, Kenneth and Daniel Eddingfield and her granddaughter, Samantha.
