Sharon Kae Foster, 79, of Somonauk, IL, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025, at her home with her family by her side. She was born June 2, 1945, in Sandwich, IL, the daughter of Carl and Myrtle (Fuller) Johnson. She married James Foster on January 29, 1965, in Millington, IL. Sharon retired from West-Irving Die Cast after 42 years. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School. Sharon loved spending time with her family and spoiling her dogs, especially Susie Q.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; her daughter, Tonia (Rick) Duncum; her grandchildren, Darren (Rachel) Timlin and Kelsey James Timlin; her great grandchildren; her sister, Laura (Rob) Houtz; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her children, James Jr. and Michelle, and her sister, Myrna Hupach.
Sharon’s family would like to give a special thank you to her excellent team of caregivers, Lauren, Denise, Kalena and Janel.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL. A Memorial Service in Sharon’s honor will follow the visitation with Pastor John Rothfusz officiating.
