Scott R. Wakefield

Scott R. Wakefield, 65, of Plano, Illinois passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 2, 1949 in Berwyn, IL the son of Frank and Gloria Grench Wakefield. Scott graduated from Yorkville High School in 1968 and from Western Illinois University. He married Rose A. Hanson on July 6, 1990 in Yorkville. He was employed by Thor Power Tool and by Furnas Electric which was later taken over by Siemens, until his retirement. He was an avid Bears fan, enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling and spending time at his cabin.

Memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Blackstone Grill in Yorkville, IL with a Luncheon to follow.

He is survived by his wife Rose of Plano, two step-daughters, Deanna Jody Howard of Sandwich, IL and Melissa Brett Davis of Naperville, IL; 5 step-grandchildren; two sisters, Kim Jay Wakefield-Bullis and Wynne Cliff Clark both of Galesburg, IL; one brother Dave Wakefield of Earlville, IL and several nieces and nephews.
