Ruth Margaret (Morel) Larson passed peacefully Tuesday July 11, 2023. She was born May 7, 1939 to Kenneth and Ruby Morel (Riis). Ruth married Larry (Norski) Larson January 8, 1983 and they stayed married until his death in 2020.

Ruth loved life! She was an avid bowler and golfer, she enjoyed going to WI where she and Larry owned property for several years. She formed her own Red Hat Society group in Plano where they went to plays, had luncheons, walked in parades, and all kinds of shenanigans. She spent hours doing puzzles at her dining room table. She enjoyed playing cards and looked forward to hosting game nights at her house as she always loved being around family and friends.

Most notable was her incredible creativity and artistic ability. She painted pictures like a true artist! If she saw an image she liked, she painted it. She had an incredible group of collectibles that she cherished such as beanie babies, porcelain dolls, Barbies, wrestling figures and a beautiful collection of turtles that friends and family helped build by bringing them to her from all over the world.

Ruth was a hard worker. She started young as a hospital candy striper then went into blue collar industry jobs working at CTS Nights, Wayne Circuits, and even bar tended to help make ends meet.

She made friends anywhere she stepped foot and loved flirting with her handsome Doctors, EMS, and Paramedics! Her kind and gentle personality made it hard for people to believe she was a die-hard WWE fan and loved Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. Every night except Thursday and Sunday you would find her in front of the TV cheering her guys on!

She was a resident at Pavilion on Main, formerly known as Willow Crest, for the past year and a half. Not only is this where she made numerous friends, this is the very same building where she was born! Her time here was filled with all the things she loved doing, cards, puzzling, crafting, and coffee klatch. She and her very close friend and roommate Sally were dubbed "the fun dorm girls".

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Kevin Rauch, her stepson Larry "Butch" Larson Jr., her sister Marilyn Compton, and her brother and sister in law Edward and Margaret Morel.

She is survived by her brother Fred (Alice) Morel of Millington, IL, her brother Larry Morel of Southern IL, her sister Dee Anderson of Plano, IL, daughters Wendy (Rob) Bedal of Millington, IL, Laurie (Kevin) Kubisak of Plano, IL, her son Shane Harris of Plano, IL, her step daughter Kim Bentley of Aurora, IL, seven grandchildren, Brittany (Josh) Page of Wellington, CO, Stephanie (Kevin) Staneart of Bolingbrook, IL, Danielle Jones of Sugar Grove, IL, Aaron Kubisak of Plano, IL, Scott Larson and Allen Larson of Oswego, IL, Emily (Zach) Glasgow of Chicago, IL, and her very special great-grandson and favorite person, Grayson; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
