Ruth Ann Chellberg

Ruth Ann Chellberg, 86, of Leland, IL passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in Hillside Rehab and Care Center in Yorkville, IL. She was born December 18, 1925 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Oliver and Grace (Kemmerer) Elliott. She married George A. Chellberg on October 18, 1945 in Plainfield, IL. Ruth Ann was a member of Leland United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, choir member and she served on numerous committees. She was also a 4H Leader in DuPage County and President of the Residents Council at Hillside Rehab and Care Center. In memory of Ruth Ann, please help someone when you can, just for the good of it.

She is survived by three daughters: Bonnie (Eugene) Chiavario of Leland, Pat (Steve) Harting of Amboy, and Paula (David) Zielke of Leland, IL; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, one grandson, James Zielke, one son-in-law, Charles Hanouw and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Leland United Methodist Church in Leland, IL with Pastor Jodeen Immer and Pastor Alka Lyall officiating. Burial will follow in Little Indian Creek Cemetery in Leland, IL. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Leland United Methodist Church, Unity Hospice or Hillside Rehab and Care Center.
