Rosemarie L. Dahm

Rosemarie Dahm, 84, of Leland, IL passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 5, 1942 in Durango, MX., The daughter of Joseph and Otilia (Defoe) Garcia. She married Clifford Dahm in 1969. Rosemarie was a former student of East Aurora High School and later worked as a teachers aid in which she loved working with children. Rosemarie’s passion was sewing for chubby girls, making them feel beautiful, she was known as the family’s formal dressmaker. She was a member of the Leland United Methodist Church. She was fierce in her views on immigration. She would assist others with the process of becoming legal.

She is survived by her one daughter, Cindy (Charles O’Rourke) Lockwood; one son, Kevin (Jackie) Garcia; and three grandchildren, Kirsten, Isabel, and Alexander Lockwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford, and her son Erik Garcia.
