Ronnie S. Erickson, 69, of Plano, IL passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich, IL. He was born March 31, 1946 in Aurora, IL the son of Lesley and Betty Wald Erickson. He married Jean S. Bower on October 27, 1972 in Plano, IL. He was a member of Plano American Legion Post #395 and was employed at Caterpillar for 35 years until his retirement. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam War. Ronnie enjoyed riding his Goldwing motorcycle and being with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Jean of Plano, one daughter Diane Kreg Wesley of Sycamore, IL, two granddaughters, Reagan and Taylor Wesley of Sycamore, IL; one sister Lynn Tom Grant of Plano, IL and one brother Randy Judy Gerlick Erickson of Somonauk, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother-in-law David Taylor.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL with Pastor Del Keilman officiating. Burial will follow in Little Rock Township Cemetery Plano, IL, with Military Honors by the Plano American Legion Post #395. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2016 at the funeral home in Plano, IL. Memorials may be directed to Huntington’s Disease Research.
