Ronald C Maurer

Ronald C. Maurer, 73, of Sandwich, IL passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026 in Dekalb, IL. He was born on October 11, 1952 in Port Huron, Michigan. The son of Charles and Monica (McManus) Maurer. He married Linda Jones, where they were married for over 30 years. She became his lifelong partner, and there was no one else he’d rather have by his side through his trials and tribulations. He graduated from West Aurora High School. He worked for more than 50 years in manufacturing. He was an avid Chicago Sports fan you could always catch him watching a game. One of his favorite hobbies was his love for chess, as well as collecting model and die-cast cars. Ultimately, Ronald was always good for a laugh.

He is survived by his wife/lifelong partner, Linda F. Maurer of Sandwich; two sons, Charles Maurer, and Matthew (Brandy) Maurer; four grandchildren, Jordan, Maxwell, Rachel, and Alexander Maurer; brother, Richard (Pat) Maurer of Aurora; two sisters, Judy (late husband Larry) Flanagan of St. Charles, and Donna Noble of Yorkville along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Monica (McManus) Maurer.
