Robyn H. Bomstad, 64, of Earlville, Illinois passed away peacefully, Monday, February 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 24, 1956 in Mendota, Illinois the daughter of Ernie and Dora (Whitlock) Russell. She was a graduate of Earlville High School in the class of 1974. She married Don Bomstad on December 16, 1972 in Earlville, IL. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Earlville. She worked at CTS Knights Inc. in Sandwich, IL for many years. Prior to her retirement she worked at Somonauk High School. Robyn enjoyed golfing, cooking, boating, and spending time at the lake home in Tennessee. But most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Don; three sons, Kevin (Heather) Bomstad, of Earlville, IL, Ryan (Layla) Bomstad of Plainfield, IL and Adam (Amy) Bomstad of Shorewood, IL; eight grandchildren, Colin, Carson, Hayden, Lana, Regan, Baize, Cayle, and Pyper Bomstad; three brothers, Robert (Susan) Russell of Pontiac, IL, Pat (Jane) Russell of Earlville, and Gregg (Cindy) Russell of Pontiac, IL; six sisters, Rusty (Mary Agnes) Russell of Chicago, Ernestine (Gerry) Tuftie of Flanagan, IL, Anna (Charlie) Svendsen of Earlville, Rita Fox of Chicago, IL, Joan Perkins of Earlville, and Debbie Spears of Tucson, AZ, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Hadley Bomstad, one brother Jeff Russell.

According to Robyn’s wishes there will be no visitation and a Private Family Memorial Service will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Earlville, with Father Ghislain Inai S.M.A. officiating. Private burial of Robyn’s urn will follow in Precinct Cemetery rural Earlville, IL. Cremation was entrusted to Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville, IL.
