Robert John Ziak, 60, of Leland, IL passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, IL. He was born July 13, 1953 in Oak Park, IL the son of John Ferdinan and Lorraine (Shinski) Ziak. He married Donna Dolhar on October 8, 1977 in Hillside, IL. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL and the Chicago Gearheads Car Club. Robert had a great passion for antique cars, radios and phonographs. He loved his dogs, friends and especially his wife, Donna.
He is survived by his wife, Donna of Leland; one sister, Adrienne (Stephen) Langley of Rockford, IL; his best friends, Ron and Veronica Revisky of Minooka, IL and Harry and Brenda Stojentin of Wilmette, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL with Pastor Michael Neel officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Yorkville, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk. Memorials may be directed to Midwest K-9 Emergency Response Team.
