Robert “RJ” J. Wade, 81, of Hickory Hills, IL passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich, IL. He was born March 27, 1940 in Chicago, IL the son of William J. and Margaret M. (Collins) Wade. Robert was a member of the Catholic Faith. He loved watching the Chicago Cubs, playing Bingo, and he enjoyed cooking. Robert’s greatest love of all was spending time with his family and his dogs.
He is survived by his sister, Marge Scholl of Somonauk, IL; one niece, Jan Eckert of Hickory Hills, IL; one nephew, Bob Scholl of Iron River, MI; five great nieces, Kelly (Elliot) Adamczyk of Evanston, IL, Tracy Somrek of Hickory Hills, IL, Beth Hardesty of Russells Point, OH, Kimberly Ann Scholl of Findlay, OH, and Angela Scholl of Florida; two great nephews, Marc (Irene) Eckert of LaGrange Park, IL and Robert Scholl Jr. of Leigh Acres, FL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Wade; and one nephew, Danny Scholl.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with Father Kevin Butler officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the funeral home in Somonauk. Memorials may be directed to Masses.
