Robert \"Bob\" Stubbe 77, of Plano, Illinois passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009 at his home in Plano, after a two year battle with cancer. Bob was born August 18, 1932 in Kewanee, IL the son of Henry and Nora Lamb Stubbe. He married Marilyn Currier on November 26, 1949 in Kewanee, IL and would have celebrated their 60th anniversary this year. After moving to Plano in 1961 Bob worked for the Cottingim's Mobil Gas Station and Caterpillar Tractor Company until his retirement in January 1990. Bob and Marilyn spent many years wintering in Florida. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, bass fishing, watching NASCAR and puttering in his garage. Bob also belonged to the Thunderbird Bass Club.
He is survived by hi wife, Marilyn; five children, Colleen (Mike) Dotson, Connie (Mickey) Downey, Julie Stubbe (Karen Vilman), Jeff (Penny) Stubbe, all of Plano, IL, and Lisa (Bill) Fessl of Temecula, CA, seven grandchildren, Justin (Kristy) Dotson, Michael and Derek Downey, Kendall, Robert and Kayla Stubbe, and Christina (Paul) Bihun; two great grandchildren, Kaylyn and Olivia Dotson, many nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Richard (Brenda) Lazoen.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
