Robert H. Landers, 77, of Somonauk, IL passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at his home. He was born June 5, 1932 in Ottawa, IL, the son of Howard and Clara (Guilfoyle) Landers. Robert was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. serving during the Korean War. A member of the 1st Explosive Ordinance Disposal Co. 1st Marine Division. He retired from AT&T formerly Lucent in Montgomery. He was also a Licensed Real Estate Broker and Licensed Real Estate Appraiser.
He was a member of St.John the Baptist Church in Somonauk, Somonauk Lions Club, Somonauk MRL Post 772 American Legion, a 3rd Degree member of Fox Valley South Knights of Columbus, a 4th Degree member of Starved Rock General Assembly Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by one sister, Mildred (Dan) Biederbeck of Peoria; three brothers, Richard (Janice) Landers of Hot Springs Villa, Arkansas; Larry (Judy) Landers of Sandwich, and Tom (Carol) Landers of Woodstock and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charles Landers, and one nephew, Timothy Landers.
