Rob (Robert) Louis Stoecker, 54 of Yorkville, sadly passed away suddenly in a car accident on January 7th, 2021 after spending a perfect day that included breakfast with family and a day riding his new 4-wheeler. He was born on August 29, 1966 in Aurora, IL and was the son of Joyce (Duke) Stoecker and Leonard Stoecker. Rob was a fun spirited husband, dad, stepdad, step Grandpa, son, brother, and uncle whose devilish grin will forever be missed and remembered by his family and friends.
Rob grew up in the Boulder Hill/Oswego area graduating from Oswego High School in 1984. He loved to be active and outside regardless of the weather which was perfect for his line of work in construction. He never met a dog he didn't love, there was never a height he was afraid of, a roof line or stair stringer that he could not calculate and frame, any motorized vehicle he wouldn't want to drive (the faster the better) or own and he never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Karen McClernon; his sons, Jeremy (Melanie Carr) Stoecker and Nicholas Stoecker; his stepchildren, Danielle, Chelsea, Zachery and Spencer; his step grandkids, Emmi, Elena and AJ; his brother; his sisters, Teri (Kerry) Hix and Jana (Todd) Hester and many nieces and nephews.
A Burial Service will be led by Pastor Shayne Stoddard on Friday, May 21st at 2:00 p.m. where he will be laid to rest next to his mom and his sister, Cathy at Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora, IL. Cremation rites were entrusted in the Turner-Eighner Funeral Home. For more information or to sign the online guest book please go to
