Robert J. Huette

Robert J. Huette, 88, of Bristol, Illinois passed away, Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 16, 1927 in Tazwell County, Tremont, Illinois, the son of John and Esther Winzeler Huette. He was a 1945 Graduate of Tremont High School. He married Margaret Callahan on June 13, 1953 in Pekin, IL He was Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII and the Occupation of Japan. He was self- employed in sales, he was also a feed salesman. He was a die-hard Cubs fan and enjoyed all other sports.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Bristol; three children, Pat John O’Donnell of Reddick, IL; Jim Huette of Hobe Sound, FL and Mike Kim Huette of Keller, TX; six grandchildren, Katherine Daniel McGonigal, Jennifer O’Donnell, Michael O’Donnell, Amanda Joel Guyton, Nicole Huette and Morgan Huette; one sister, Alice Robert Lahne of Freeport, IL; one brother, John W. Huette of Rice Lake, WI and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL with a prayer service at 3:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont, IL.
