Robert L. Duffy, 63, of Sandwich, Illinois passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 15, 1952 in Sandwich, IL the son of Richard and Carolyn Johnson Duffy. He married Phyllis Surratt on July 17, 1976 in Somonauk, IL. He was a member of the Sandwich Moose Lodge #1016, Aurora Bowling Association. Bob enjoyed bowling, computer work, his weekly trips to Gene’s Restaurant, but the greatest love of all, was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis of Sandwich, IL; one daughter Sandra Randy Deom of Watertown, NY, one son Richard Sara Duffy of Plano, IL; four grandchildren, Keyan, Tayte, Braxton and Aislynn, and one soon to be; one brother Bill Maureen Duffy of Cape Girardeau, MO, seven sisters, Melody Margaret McAlpin Duffy of Newark, Delaware, Patricia Voga of Sandwich, IL, Jane Stephen Wolf of Sandwich, IL, Carolyn Frank Evans of Sandwich, IL, Mary David Breeden of Las Vegas, NV, Joanne Patrick Resendiz of Ottawa, IL and Margery Brian Shinners of Oak Park, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Edward Duffy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with Pastor John William Davis officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2015 and from 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 2015 until the time of services in the funeral home.
