Robert L. "Bob" Dabbert

Robert L. “Bob” Dabbert, 86 of Yorkville, IL., passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Pearl at The Tillers in Oswego, IL. He was born October 19, 1938 in Aurora, IL. the son of George W. and Esther (Kruse) Dabbert of West Chicago, IL. He married Kathleen L. Thompson on March 22, 1962 in West Chicago, IL. He was a member of the Local #68 Labors Union for over 50 years. He enjoyed getting his hands into the dirt and planting vegetables. After retirement Bob was an avid estate sales goer. Most of all he enjoyed all the valuable time he spent with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathleen of Yorkville, IL.; Five children, Betty (Don) Jackley of Aurora, IL., Amy Wolfe of Savoy, IL., Robert (Leslie) Dabbert of Sandwich, IL., Colleen (Tony) Pike of Oswego, IL. and Christine (Kester) , Jeffers of Fort Wayne, IN.; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Meyer of Cincinnati, OH. and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, George Jr. and Donald Dabbert.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL. with a prayer service to follow the visitation at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
