Robert H. Anderson, 88, of Sandwich, IL passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013. He was born November 12, 1924 in Fox Settlement, IL the son of John and Alvina (Eckman) Anderson. He married Eleanor Klotz on August 23, 1946 in Big Rock, IL. Robert was a member of United Church of Sandwich.
He is survived his wife, Eleanor of Sandwich; one daughter, Bonnie (Ken) Young of Sandwich, IL; one son, Tom (Kathy) Anderson of Somonauk, IL; five grandchildren, Heather (Bart) Breon of Geneva, IL, Doug (Erica) Anderson of Albion, IL, Lindsay (Kim) Young of Sandwich, IL, Jeff (Tina) Anderson of Plano, IL and Ken (Jillian) Young of Peoria, IL; and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Lillian Thatcher and two brothers, John and Melvin Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich with Pastor Jonathan Singleton officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the United Church of Sandwich.
