Richard A. ”Buck” Bolen, 84, of Sandwich, Illinois passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville, IL. He was born August 31, 1933 in Peru, IL the son of Paul and Phyllis Lindenmeyer Bolen. He married Ardis V. Koehler on July 11, 1954 in Peru, IL. He attended Indiana State University. Buck taught and coached baseball and football at East Aurora High School from 1959 to 1993. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War.
He is survived by four Children, Kim Ervin of Dongola, IL, Scott Bolen of Arkansas, Pat Maggie Bolen of Tennessee, IL and Kelly Pete Sprague Bolen of Big Rock, IL; six grandchildren, Jamie Adam Schultz, Joshua Riffell, Anthony Bolen, Alex Bolen, Ryan Bolen and Kayleigh Ervin: four great grandchildren, Uriah Riffell, Jack Schultz, Marcella Schultz and Miranda Bolen; one brother John Colleen Bolen of Peru, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Ardis.
