Rhonda (Wade) Beecher, 73

Rhonda (Wade) Beecher, 73, of Millbrook, IL passed away peacefully at her home on November 26, 2022. She was born July 6, 1949 to John and Mary (Mundwiler) Wade of Plano, IL. Rhonda was united in marriage to Clair “Lee” Beecher on September 12, 1969 and they lived happily for the next 53 years, until her passing.

Rhonda worked many years as a receptionist, becoming longtime friends with so many of her coworkers. Her upbeat attitude was infectious, and she was always able to carry this positive attitude. It was inspiring to those who knew and loved her.

She was a very talented seamstress and tailor. She loved to sew; making baby quilts for nieces and nephews, for whom she had close relationships with. She was a great cook, and in later years, loved baking with her Grandchildren. She was known to bring cookies to anyone who was going through a difficult time; trying to bring joy to their lives. Rhonda loved to see plays, musicals and attend music concerts. She was an avid reader and loved working in her yard, gardening, and landscaping.

Anyone who met Rhonda instantly became a friend. She was a deeply empathetic person with a fantastic sense of humor. She was a friend and mentor to so many people. She fiercely loved her family, and her grandchildren were the joys of her life. Her life has touched many people and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Rhonda is survived by her husband, “Lee” Beecher; her daughter, Jennifer (Kerry) Boring; her son, John-Michael Beecher; her Grandson, Tristan Boring; her Granddaughter, Charlotte Beecher; her brother Randall “Scott” (Karen) Wade; and her Foster Sister, Darlene Haas.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, John, and Mary Wade; a sister, Susan; and her brother, Robin.

In keeping with Rhonda’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life to be held Summer of 2023. A private burial will be held in the Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to either: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Disabled American Veterans Charity, causes that were both dear to her heart.
