Raymond T. Sprowls, 86, of Rantoul, IL formerly of Sandwich, IL passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born September 21, 1924 in Tiskilwa, IL the son of Oscar and Delta Spencer Sprowls. He married Meridith A. Ellis on May 6, 1951 in Wedron, Illinois. He was a member of The Cornerstone Church of Sandwich and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Raymond enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, gardening, and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Meridith of Champaign, IL; one daughter, Debora (Bobby) Loveless of Rantoul, IL; three grandchildren, Chad (Jamie) Shaffer of Carbondale, IL, Rachel (Jeff) Palmer of Rantoul, IL and Rebecca Shaffer of LeRoy, IL; one step granddaughter Amanda (Jason) Carman of Rantoul, IL; one great granddaughter, Madison Marie Palmer, four step great grandchildren, Zach Palmer, Jacob Moore, Caden and Elaine Carman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Nancy Sprowls, and one brother, Ronnie Sprowls.
