Ramona (Butler) Early, 91, of Somonauk passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Sandwich Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was born April 8, 1921 In Hinckley, IL the daughter of Henry and Florence (Martin) Kastler. She married Lawrence Butler on September 5, 1948 and after his passing, Ramona married Warren M. Early on August 12, 1989 in Uniontown, PA. Ramona was a member of Union Congregational Church of Somonauk, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed working at the Sandwich Fair in the horticulture and arts and crafts buildings for over 36 years. She loved painting and was considered quite the artist. She also enjoyed sewing and craft work.
She is survived by her husband, Warren of Somonauk, her daughter Julie Kaye Butler of Scottsdale AZ, her son Chris Butler who married Nancy Geuther, they are the parents of three children: Brian Butler who married Michelle Johnson, Holly Miller and Susan Rebholz; Joyce (Marty) Hospodavis of Uniontown PA, Coleen Chatee of Bowie, MD, Richard (Robin) Early of Charlotte NC, Alan (Connie) Early of Uniontown, PA; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Lawrence, and two sisters, Ruth Nelson and Doris Lockwood.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 212 at Turner- Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with Pastor Michelle Prentice Leslie officiating. Burial will follow in Little Indian Creek Cemetery in Leland IL. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the funeral home in Somonauk. Memorials may be directed to the Union Congregational church in Somonauk.
