Ralph P. Waits, 62, of Earlville, IL passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born December 1, 1953 the son of Chester and Nancy Teeter Waits. He married Mary Ann Stout on December 3, 1977 in Bloomington, IN. Ralph worked at McDonald’s Corporation in Oak Brook, IL since 1974. He enjoyed riding his bicycle, reading, investments and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of Earlville, IL; two daughters, Amy Lynne Waits of Hillsboro, OR and Heather Ken Ward of DeKalb, IL; three grandchildren, Seth Williams, Jim and Kieran Ward; two sisters, Sally Steve Russell of UT and Theo Barber of IN; two brothers, Bill Cheryl Waits of TX, and Barry Ruth Ann Waits of IN and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ric Waits.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with Rev. Theo Barber officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of services at 4:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The American Cancer Society or The Ronald McDonald House.
