Phillip F. Surratt, 81, of Sandwich, Illinois passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in Seasons Hospice in Naperville, IL. He was born July 10, 1934 in Beardstown, IL the son of Joe and Elizabeth Miller Surratt. He married Patricia Ann Stockon on February 19, 1955 in Aurora, IL. He was formerly employed at D.R. Sperries Foundry in North Aurora and Amva Mfg. in Aurora. Phillip enjoyed painting, the Cubs, but his greatest love of all was his family
He is survived by four children, Debora Sonny Olson of Marseilles, IL, Phyllis Duffy of Sandwich, IL, Rick Betty Surratt of Steeleville, IL and Julie Mark Johnson of Plano, IL, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one sister, Eloise Bob Carlock of Texas, two brothers, Bobby Joe Kay Surratt of Aurora, IL and Ernie Donna Surratt of Plano, IL and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia in 2003, four brothers, Robert, Donald, Charles and Jack Surratt, three sisters Rosalie, Marie and Alma and one son-in-law Robert Duffy.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with Rev. John William Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery Bristol, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016 in the funeral home until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
