Phillip Felipe Garcia, 79, of Plano, IL passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015 in Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL. He was born July 17, 1936 in Los Aldamas, Mexico, the son of Felipe and Sostena Cantu Garcia. He was married to Guadalupe for fifty years. He was a member of the Aurora Latin American Club. He lived in Aurora since 1956, he worked at Belson Manufacturing from where retired after 33 years, he also worked for Sam’s Club for 9 years. As dedicated as he was he never stopped working, he volunteered his time for over 30 years at The Latin.
He is survived by his wife Guadalupe; his children, Michelle Garcia, Linda Tom Garza, Lucinda Abel Garcia, Arleen Lee Ortega Sr., and Victoria Ubaldo Garcia; son-in-law, Jesus Beltran; twelve grandchildren, Aurora, Christina, Victor, Raquel, Lee Jr., Angel, Deanna, Aracelli, Sabrina, Lourdes, Nicholas, and Yanelli; seven great grandchildren, Muhayla, Isabella, Alexus, Delilah, Rosalie, Diana, and Kaleb; one sister, Eluteria Gonzalez of Houston, Texas and beloved by several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
A celebration of Phillip’s life will be held at 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 12, 2015 at The Aurora Latin American Club.
